For All Our
$107,707.94 Grand Total!
Once again, we are wowed by the generosity of the Stevens community. The Annual Fund was a smashing success, both because of the money raised and because of the number of familes who gave to support our school.
Thank you, Stevens Community, for all you do for our kids!
Thank you for an exciting Jump-a-thon: the kids jumped enthusiastically, and we raised some money for the PTA.In the meantime, a giant PTA thank-you to Jill Kobayashi, the Jump-a-thon coordinator and all volunteers who helped keep track of the bouncing. Please turn in any straggling pledges, and we’ll report a total from this kid-centered fundraiser very soon!
The final dollar number is $12,738.13!
MEANY UPDATEPosted Feb. 6, 2014
On January 23rd a number of future Meany Middle School families met to discuss the future of our neighborhood middle school. District officials were on hand to answer our questions, as well as to advise us on developing a course of action. The resulting message was that, with the proper initiative and organization, our community has real power to influence the development of a vision for Meany. The time to organize is now.
Please read the attached notes (both from Thursday's discussion and from the Seattle School District) and keep an eye out for our next meeting. In the meantime, you can always contact Heather Timm or Sage McCotter with any ideas or questions.
Finally, the Meany SDAT committee is holding a community meeting at Meany Middle School on Thursday, February 13th at 6:30pm to present some important design concepts. This is a terrific opportunity to see the work that is underway and to voice your opinion. Hope to see you there!
