Education

My educational background includes completing my undergraduate degree at Central Washington University. My major included a focus in K-8 Elementary Education and a minor in Reading. I have a Master's Degree in School Administration. My futuristic goal includes completing my PhD. I have had a wealth of classes, trainings, and professional development in Mathematics, Reading, Technology and Science. I believe in providing the highest quality education to all students.  

I work hard to keep informed and current in the use of the latest research in child development and brain research. I attend a wealth of conferences and courses to bring the best learning possibilities to the classroom.  

 

Teaching Background

My teaching background includes twenty highly successful years working with children at the elementary level. I have had the opportunity to work with children from all over the world. I have taught children from many different cultures and who speak multiple languages.

Philosophy

My philosophy is to create and foster a positive and strong parent-teacher-child relationship. My philosophy is to provide strong communication to the family members to insure their child is striving to their potential. I believe that children should be active in the learning process. The Curricula that I develop is student-centered and focused on the interests of the child. My goal is to bring "Learning to Life" and to create an atmosphere that allows your child to reach their potential!

 

Interests

My interests include:
Travel, Reading, Marine life, Being active in my OWN child's education (she is a high school student at Interlake High School in Bellevue), Jazz, Sports, Writing children's books, dog training for the hearing impaired, and riding my brand new Harley Davidson Motorcycle!!!  

I am a very high energy and active person that works to bring out the best in the needs of all students.
