Personal

I am married and have 3 girls.   They keep me busy with their schoolwork and sports.  They often come by and help the students.

Tanya Kamila and I have been job sharing together since 2001.   We are excited to be teaching 1st grade this year.

Interests and Hobbies

When I am not teaching or spending time with my children, I love to read books and magazines.   I have recently learned to cross-stitch and knit and enjoy working on different projects.  I have also been playing soccer one night a week for exercise and enjoyment.

School

My main teaching areas in the classroom are math and science.   My goal in teaching,  these subject areas in particular, is to foster a curiosity and teach ways of finding out answers and explaining them to others. Science has been an area of interest to me for a long time.   I encourage the students to be “scientists” investigating, exploring, and experimenting and recording.
