Hobbies and Interests

* I love being outdoors and close to the water -- walking, hiking, sailing, gardening...

* I've been playing music ever since I can remember.  My specialties are the piano, dulcimer, and recorder. I'm presently a member of the Seattle Recorder Society, and play alto recorder with a quartet called the Woodland Consort.

* Other hobbies of mine include sewing, needlework, and cooking, which were all taught to me by my mother und grossmutter.

* Something they didn't teach me was yoga. My practice helps to keep me calm and relaxed.

* Recently, my favorite past-time has been babysitting my new granddaughter, Ryley Shea. She is an avid early reader, and loves Winnie the Pooh.

School Responsibilities

During the 2004-2005 school year, I was on the committee to organize a march to Volunteer Park for M.L.K. Day. In January 2005,  I provided a professional development workshop on problem solving.  I am also the Environmental Representative, and represent the staff on the PTA Music Committee.
